In Brief: Golden State Adds Pair Of Commercial Bankers

Golden State Bancorp. has expanded its commercial banking division by hiring two senior vice presidents.

Scott Aney was tapped to oversee commercial banking in the San Fernando Valley and Ventura County in southern California. He formerly was a vice president of credit products at Bank of America Corp.

Brian Fitzmaurice joined the $56 billion-asset thrift company from Michigan National Corp., where he headed the credit bureau. At Golden State, Mr. Fitzmaurice was named chief credit officer of commercial banking. He also oversees community reinvestment for Golden State, which is the parent of California Federal Bank.
