Corrections: 05/04/99 issue

The headline with a Tuesday news brief on page 11 misidentified an underwriting system that can be accessed through the Web site of GN Mortgage, a Wisconsin lender. The story itself was correct; the site gives access to Freddie Mac's Loan Prospector system.

Wednesday, the caption with a photo of Michael Dusche on page 16 had him working for the wrong company. The accompanying story identified him correctly as Microsoft's director of smart card marketing.

Last-minute changes in the Thursday article "Republicans' Bankruptcy Reform Bill Moves Ahead" confused the status of a proposal to let judges decide whether petitioners for bankruptcy should repay some debt. The proposal, in an amendment sponsored by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Henry J. Hyde, was rejected.
