In Brief: Pa. Holding Company Looking for Partners

Community Banks Inc. in Millersburg, Pa., is on the prowl for merger partners, the company's president and chief executive officer said.

Eddie L. Dunklebarger said last week that Community Banks would consider merging with banks that share its community banking philosophy. Speaking at Community Banks' annual meeting, he said the company is seeking partnerships both inside and outside its markets. Community Banks, with $899 million of assets, is the parent of Community Banks NA and Peoples State Bank in East Berlin, Pa.
