LaSalle National Bank in Chicago has promoted Pamela Daniels-Halisi to first vice president and head of the community development division.

She succeeded Kristin L. Faust, who left in February to become chief deputy state treasurer in California.

Ms. Daniels-Halisi is to manage the division responsible for lending to community-based groups and entrepreneurs with revitalization projects for low- and moderate-income neighborhoods in Chicago and Cook County.

She had been a lender and deputy division head in community development for five years. Before joining LaSalle in 1994, she worked for Continental Bank of Chicago in commercial real estate.

LaSalle National is a $22 billion-asset subsidiary of ABN Amro Holding, Amsterdam.
