Commerce Bank Names Executive

Commerce Bank in Kansas City, Mo., has named four assistant vice presidents.

Two of them, Brian D. Bowers and Ronald W. Rigdon, came from Heritage Bank of Olathe, Kan., which the parent Commerce Bancshares bought in November.

Mr. Bowers, now in Commerce Bank's commercial banking division, was Heritage's senior vice president of commercial banking. He has nine years of banking and commercial lending experience in the Kansas City area.

Mr. Rigdon manages the Mur-Len branch in Olathe, as he did for Heritage.

He came to Heritage from Mercantile Bank in Kansas City. He has 29 years of retail banking experience.

Commerce Bank hired Stuart C. Berkley and Neal M. Tasch as assistant vice presidents in the personal trust division of its investment management group. Each has nine years of experience in the trust industry.

Mr. Berkley will manage portfolios in health care and telecommunications for the Commerce Growth Fund. He was a portfolio manager at First National Bank and Trust Co. in Chicago.

Mr. Tasch will be involved in business development and managing portfolios.

He was a senior trust officer at UMB Bank in Kansas City, Kan.

Commerce Bancshares has $11 billion of assets.
