Home Loan Bank Shift: Pittsburgh Chairman to Be Atlanta President

Former Pennsylvania Commerce Secretary Raymond R. Christman, now chairman of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh, will become the Atlanta Home Loan Bank's top executive.

His election as president of the Atlanta bank was confirmed by the Federal Housing Finance Board, which regulates the Home Loan Bank System.

Mr. Christman, who is also president and chief executive officer of the Pittsburgh Technology Council, has been chairman of the Pittsburgh Home Loan Bank since 1994. He was Pennsylvania's secretary of commerce from 1986 to 1990.

He will take the Atlanta post in mid-June, succeeding Paul D. Hill, who resigned in February. Carol Jackson, executive vice president and chief operating officer, has been acting president.
