Fiserv Inc. on Monday introduced Mobile Money FastTrack, a streamlined version — with implementation cycles as short as 90 days — of its mobile banking software aimed at midsize to large financial companies.

"In the current economic environment, financial institutions are being strategic about their investments. For those institutions looking to implement a mobile banking solution, Mobile Money FastTrack from Fiserv provides an affordable solution that can be up and running quickly, without consuming a lot of internal resources," Todd Lesher, Fiserv's president of electronic banking services, said in a press release.

The Brookfield, Wis., financial technology company introduced its Mobile Money software in March of last year, based on technology from the New Zealand mobile banking technology vendor M-Com.

Fiserv said the new version works with text messaging, the browsers available in many mobile phones and downloadable applications. It offers balance inquiries, transaction histories, account transfers, bill payments, account alerts and automated teller machine and branch locators.
