Intuit Inc. said Monday that it is offering its FinanceWorks online personal financial management platform to a wider range of financial institutions.

The consumer and business versions of FinanceWorks have already been available to banks and credit unions that use Intuit's online banking application; Intuit has also offered the financial management software to customers of Fidelity National Information Services Inc.'s Metavante Technologies Inc.

FinanceWorks allows banks to show customers financial data from multiple accounts and to sift through the data to help them create budgets or analyze spending trends. The business version also has modules for handling invoicing and payroll.

"Broadening the availability of FinanceWorks will help more banks and credit unions provide the online financial management capabilities that can position them for growth," Sasan Goodarzi, the president of Intuit's online banking business, Digital Insight, said in a press release.
