Albert Gonzalez, the Miami man who pleaded guilty in September to charges related to the 2007 data breach at TJX Cos. Inc., pleaded guilty recently to additional charges that he engineered breaches at Heartland Payment Systems Inc., Hannaford Bros. Co., 7-Eleven Inc. and two unnamed retailers.

Gonzalez faces up to 30 years in prison for alleged wire-fraud conspiracy, an additional five years on another conspiracy charge and a $250,000 fine for each charge, the Justice Department said.

A federal court in New Jersey had been set to hear the case against Gonzalez in the Heartland and Hannaford breaches, but now plans to transfer the case to a Massachusetts court, where Gonzalez faces further charges.

Gonzales faces up to 25 years in prison in Massachusetts and 20 years in New York for the charges to which he has already pleaded guilty, for breaches at TJX, Barnes & Noble, Sports Authority, Dave & Buster's, OfficeMax, Boston Market and BJ's Wholesale Club.
