Visa Inc. said Monday that it has promoted Elizabeth Buse to group executive for its international business.

Buse, who had been global head of product, will work from Singapore, handling sales and service functions in the Asia-Pacific, Central Europe, Middle East and Africa regions.

Buse's promotion follows the departure of Rupert Keeley, who was Visa's group president for those regions.

Keeley "leaves behind a sound foundation for Visa's continued expansion in Asia Pacific," Joseph Saunders, Visa's chairman and chief executive, said in a press release. "I am confident Elizabeth will continue to build on our success there."
