Collective Point of Sale Solutions Ltd., a Toronto merchant-services provider, is deploying Hypercom Corp. point of sale terminals to split and transmit EMV credit and debit card transactions to the least costly processors, the companies announced Tuesday.

Collective POS is distributing 2,000 Optimum T4220 countertop POS terminals with SPOS32 magnetic stripe and EMV software, the companies said in a press release.

The merchant-service provider also is using Term-Master Suite terminal management software from Hypercom, in Scottsdale, Ariz., to streamline terminal set-up and management, the release said.

Collective POS serves more than 10,000 businesses across Canada, Michael Beck, company president, said in the release.
