Total System Services Inc. said Tuesday that its revenue for the fourth quarter rose 7.3%, to $472.2 million, from organic growth and acquisitions.

TSYS, of Columbus, Ga., said its net income rose 18%, to $61 million, from the fourth quarter a year earlier.

"The driving forces behind our results were consolidated organic revenue growth of 4.7% for the year, combined with acquisitions in the acquiring space, which added 2.9% to our growth in revenues before reimbursable items," said Philip W. Tomlinson, chairman and chief executive of TSYS, in a press release Tuesday.

TSYS recently renewed a processing deal with Green Dot Corp., a prepaid card marketer, though Green Dot plans to take its processing in-house within two years.
