Alliance Data Signs Credit Card Deal with Resort Developer

The retail services business for Alliance Data Systems (ADS) has signed a long-term agreement to provide co-branded credit card services to resort developer Westgate Resorts in Orlando, Fla.

Alliance said Tuesday that it will provide Westgate cardholders with full account service, including online account activation and management, financing options and marketing materials. Alliance will also develop a points-based loyalty program for Westgate.

Westgate, which is a subsidiary of Central Florida Investments, has more than two dozen full-service resorts around the U.S.

This deal is the latest announcement in a string of acquisitions and other agreements for Alliance. Last week Alliance said it would take over the private-label credit card program and buy the credit card accounts from retailer Talbots. Last month the Dallas company said that it had signed a long-term agreement to provide private-label credit card services for retailer Stage Stores (SSI).
