Elavon to Use Ingenico's EMV-Ready Payment Terminals

Payments provider Elavon will use Ingenico's new Telium2 series countertop and wireless terminals for its customers in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

The decision is part of Elavon's desire to grow its global relationship with Ingenico and to prepare for the change to EMV chip card and NFC contactless payments in the U.S., Ingenico said Monday.

As part of the product launch in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, Elavon has completed Class A certification of Ingenico's Telium2 iCT2xx and iWL2xx series terminals and software application. These terminals will allow Elavon's customers to offer payment and value-added services on a platform that supports EMV, contactless and NFC technologies.

Ingenico's IngEstate tool, a terminal management platform, also will provide Elavon, a unit of U.S. Bancorp (USB), with remote terminal management and support its Telium installations in the U.S.

Elavon has already deployed Ingenico's Telium2 series products in Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Europe.
