The Mint personal financial management site allows consumers to track their spending across multiple financial accounts by first submitting their passwords to Intuit. The new app allows users to access their spending data as well as receive account alerts, view stored data offline and enter cash transactions as they occur.
"In the next few months, Android tablets are expected to hold more than 40 percent of the market share," said Aaron Forth, general manager of Intuit's personal finance group, in a press release.
Tablets that run Google Inc.'s Android operating system include popular e-readers like Amazon.com Inc.'s Kindle and Barnes & Noble Inc.'s Nook, though both devices offer their users only a limited selection of the apps that are offered to other Android tablet users.
