Lake Shore Buys Former First Niagara Branch

Lake Shore Bancorp (LSBK) in Dunkirk, N.Y., has purchased a former First Niagara Bank branch in Snyder, N.Y.

The deal included the building and its contents but not any loans or deposits. The $490 million-asset Lake Shore Savings Bank plans to build a new branch at the location, pending regulatory approval, in the second quarter, the company said Thursday.

Lake Shore currently has 10 branches in Erie and Chautauqua counties in New York.
