Coastal Bank in N.C. to Use nCino System

Coastal Bank & Trust in Jacksonville, N.C., has signed on to use nCino's nCommercial software to improve its commercial lending process.

The system uses the Salesforce.com platform to integrate with the bank's core processing system. It amplifies the bank's existing loan underwriting and strengthens communication throughout the lending department and bank management, nCino said Thursday. The Wilmington, N.C., company provides cloud-based bank software.

"The amount of regulation in the banking industry is impacting profit, which can then impact customer service," Robert L. Norris Jr., president and chief executive of the $65 million-asset Coastal Bank, said in a news release. "To make sure neither scenario happens, we are focusing on equipping our bank and our employees with the most advanced, cloud-based technology."

The operating system eliminates spreadsheets and duplicates loan documents, making tracking loans easier and communication more effective throughout the lending and bank management areas, nCino said.
