Online Resources Corp. (ORCC) is offering a new mobile browser bill pay product for businesses.
The new browser is an add-on to a biller's existing payment system, allowing its customers to pay their bill on their mobile phone, the company said Thursday.
When a biller's payment website is accessed from a mobile device, Online Resources's browser detects whether the user is accessing the site via a desktop computer or a mobile device. If a mobile device, the customer is automatically routed to the biller's new, mobile optimized site, the company said.
The product integrates with Online Resources's other payment choices of web, IVR and CSR payments so consumers can maintain a consistent payment history and billers get one administrative tool, posting file and bank deposit. No financial or other personal information is stored on the phone. The product encrypts data in transmission and meets PCI security standards.
