Simple (formerly BankSimple) has launched an Android app to give users of the Google operating system better access to its branchless bank.

The Portland, Ore., company previously only made its software available over Apple's App store. Now, according to an email sent to beta-testers of Simple's mobile checking account, the Android app is available over Google's Play Store.

New customers will still need to sign up for the service and be invited by Simple before depositing funds. The app is just the latest from Simple, which announced its long-awaited Photo Check Deposit feature this fall.
