Diebold to Manage ATMs for Arkansas Credit Union

Diebold (DBD) has added a customer for its automated teller machine servicing program.

The ATM maker said Wednesday that Arkansas Federal Credit Union in Little Rock has outsourced management of 32 ATMs to Diebold.

Diebold will maintain the machines, ensure they meet security standards and monitor them remotely on behalf of the $880 million-asset credit union and its nearly 90,000 members.

The arrangement also encompasses transaction processing, which Diebold is providing in partnership with core processing network Co-Op Financial Services.

"Our services will enable the credit union to provide better member experiences from the teller line to the self-service channel, while controlling operating costs," Mychal Kempt, Diebold's vice president for North American operations, said in a press release.

"With Diebold handling these services, our staff is able to focus on the most important aspect of their jobs, which is serving our members reliably and efficiently," added Tino Jones, an assistant vice president at Arkansas Federal.

Arkansas Federal also is using Diebold's Campaign Office software, which lets the credit union program ATMs to display marketing messages while measuring results.
