Cardtronics has named consultant David Dove to head a new Enterprise Growth Group.
Dove previously consulted for the ATM operator since 2009 as the managing general partner of Dove Capital Partners. Dove will report to Steve Rathgaber, Cardtronics' chief executive.
"In the four years I have worked with Cardtronics as a consultant, I have had an opportunity to work with a very talented team to help position the company for sustained and profitable growth. Steve Rathgaber gave me an opportunity to come inside to help drive the company forward, and in doing so build on what has become a very powerful growth platform," Dove said in an Aug. 26 press release.
Cardtronics has been on a growth track this summer. Earlier this month it purchased the European ATM operator Cardpoint.
In late July it announced a program in which it would let as many as 10 banks put their branding on each of its ATMs.
In June the company announced a deal with Technology Credit Union in which the credit union provides customers with alerts that let them know of fee-free ATMs they can use to avoid being charged for out-of-network ATMs.
Also in June, Cardtronics bought the assets of Merrimak ATM Group in Rohnert Park, Calif.
In addition to acquisitions, Cardtronics will focus on strategic initiatives to increase transaction share, roll out new products, improve user experience and generate business analytics.
