First Commonwealth Bank Picks Jack Henry's SilverLake Core Platform

Jack Henry announced Tuesday that First Commonwealth Bank in Indiana, Pa., has chosen its core processing platform, SilverLake System.

The core banking provider said the $6.2 billion-asset First Commonwealth is planning to maintain SilverLake on its own, while it outsources some of its data processing functions.

"Every bank is looking for ways to reduce operating costs while increasing operating efficiencies," said Norm Montgomery, First Commonwealth's executive vice president of business integration, in a press release. "We began an investigation of alternative technology solutions. Our comprehensive evaluation identified SilverLake as the most functionally compatible system for our near- and long-term requirements."
