TowneBank in Suffolk, Va., has acquired The Clement Companies, an insurance agency in Greenville, N.C.
Clement handles clients ranging from Raleigh to eastern North Carolina. It handles commercial property and casualty, personal lines and health and employee benefits services, among other things.
The $4.4 billion-asset TowneBank, which has 25 branches in eastern Virginia, did not say how much it paid for the agency.
