FNB United in North Carolina Rolls out New Logo, Ad Campaign

FNB United in Asheboro, N.C., will unveil a new brand for its CommunityOne Bank next month as part of its integration of Bank of Granite.

The $2.2 billion-asset company will introduce a new logo on Feb. 19 and launch an advertising campaign to show that the bank identifies "with people as human beings, not numbers," Brian Simpson, the bank's chief executive, said in a press release Thursday. FNB also said in the release Thursday that it is making enhancements to customers' deposit accounts.

The redesign is associated with FNB's upcoming integration of Bank of Granite, which the company bought with the help of private equity. A company spokesman said that no date has been set for the integration.
