RBS Group Endures Mobile Banking Outage

Bank divisions of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group suffered from a mobile banking app glitch for a few hours late last week. The outage affected mobile banking customers at RBS, NatWest and Ulster Bank.

All three banking units took to Twitter to inform their customers about the technology issue.

The three banks boast more than two million active mobile users collectively, reports The Guardian.

The latest outage follows two other IT issues that affected customers of the bank divisions within the past year. The earlier outages blocked consumers from accessing their digital banking accounts, and in some cases, customers were unable to withdraw cash or pay for things.
