Citi is adding a finance tool to its CitiDirect BE Mobile platform that will let suppliers check up on the status of incoming payments.
The New York bank said its Supplier Finance Mobile add-on will allow billers to get information on selected transactions on their mobile devices after entering in basic information about an invoice.
"Citi continues to evolve our Trade solutions to bring the mobile office to our clients and their suppliers," said John Ahearn, Citi's global head of trade, in a press release. "With this new capability, we are further extending the accessibility of our Supplier Finance platform, making it easier for both buyers and suppliers to obtain critical information about their transactions."
