Huntington CFO Kimble Steps Down

The chief financial officer of Huntington Bancshares (HBAN) in Columbus, Ohio, has stepped down.

Don Kimble, Huntington's CFO since 2004, is joining another financial institution, the $56 billion-asset Huntington said Wednesday. The other institution was not named.

Dave Anderson, currently the bank's controller, will become interim CFO. Anderson has been with Huntington since 2009.

Huntington has hired executive search firm Spencer Stuart to conduct a national search for a permanent CFO.

"Kimble made important contributions to the success of the enterprise, and we thank him for his service," Chairman and CEO Stephen Steinour said in a news release. "We remain committed to our focus on being the bank of the Midwest and believe the soundness of our strategies will continue to drive growth and improve our profitability."
