Community Bank of Bergen County (CMTB) in Maywood, N.J., has started an online mortgage center.
Consumers will be able to apply for mortgage loans, including construction loans, home equity loans and lines of credit; research and monitor interest rate changes in real time; and find answers to common questions, the $288 million-asset company said in a press release Monday.
The website is intended to streamline the loan origination process by managing all of the up-front disclosures "while cutting down on the processing time and cutting costs," Chief Executive Peter A. Michelotti says.
