Sugar Creek in Illinois Completes Second-Step Conversion

Sugar Creek Financial in Trenton, Ill., has completed its conversion from a mutual holding company to a publicly traded company.

The company's common stock began trading on the OTC Bulletin Board Wednesday. Shares are trading under the stock symbol SUGRD for 20 days and will then trade as SUGR.

Sugar Creek is the holding company for the $86.9 million-asset Tempo Bank. The bank's former mutual holding company, Sugar Creek MHC, and its former mid-tier holding company, which also operated under the name Sugar Creek Financial, have ceased to exist.

Sugar Creek said on April 1 that it had completed a $3.7 million offering in connection with the conversion.
