Former Wells Fargo Executive Joins Liquidnet

Former Wells Fargo (WFC) executive Bob Garrett has joined the institutional trading network Liquidnet as head of technology.

Garrett brings more than 23 years of technology experience to his new role at Liquidnet, according to the company's Wednesday press release. He previously served as head of equity trading and prime services technology at Wells Fargo Securities. Before that, he was the chief technology officer of Merlin Securities, which was acquired by Wells in 2012. Garrett has also held the position of global head of execution services technology at Deutsche Bank.

Garrett is "a proven technology leader who stood out for his extensive technical expertise, industry knowledge, and his varied experience at large and smaller firms," Liquidnet's chief operating officer John Kelly said in the release.
