JPMorgan Technology Officer Named CIO at OCLC

A technology executive at JPMorgan has been named chief information officer at the Online Computer Learning Center, a nonprofit computer library service and research organization.

Jeff J. Jacobs, the chief technology officer for JPMorgan's digital consumer businesses, will become the head of information technology at the Dublin, Ohio-based online library consortium.

"Jeff's experience and background in leading large-scale, emerging technology development and applications are an ideal fit for OCLC," OCLC President and CEO said Skip Prichard in a press release.

During his tenure at JPMorgan, Jacobs was responsible for the company's online infrastructure and development, overseeing a technology department of more than 600 employees. He also served as a managing director and senior vice president.

He has also held leadership positions with WellPoint, Intellitech, Exact Software, Cardinal Health and the Kroger Company.
