Merchants that accept payments through PayPal Inc. can begin conducting mobile credit card transactions through an agreement between PayPal and Billing Revolution, according to the Seattle-based provider of mobile-payments technology.

Under the agreement, Billing Revolution is reselling PayPal's Payflow Pro gateway service, which connects merchants' online stores with their existing PayPal merchant accounts.

Billing Revolution offers a service that enables merchants to create a mobile Web site that can accept transactions. "PayPal merchants wishing to conduct mobile credit card transactions can now … use Billing Revolution to process transactions through their existing PayPal accounts," says Andy Kleitsch, Billing Revolution CEO.

PayPal has roughly 45,000 merchants that process transactions using the Payflow Pro gateway.
