American State in Kansas to Buy Three Simmons First Branches

American State Bancshares in Wichita, Kan., has agreed to acquire three Kansas branches from Simmons First National.

The three branches of Simmons First National Bank, located in Salina, will become part of American State's $253 million-asset subsidiary Rose Hill Bank, according to the Wichita Eagle. Rose Hill has four branches in Augusta, Rose Hill and Wichita.

The report did not disclose the purchase price or other financial terms.

The $7.8 billion-asset Simmons First in Pine Bluff, Ark., will operate six branches in Kansas after the deal closes.
