Central Valley in California Taps Next Chief

Central Valley Community Bancorp in Fresno, Calif., will soon have a new chief executive.

The $1.2 billion-asset company said in a press release Monday that James Ford will also become its president on Fed. 1. Ford will succeed Daniel Doyle, who is retiring after 17 years as CEO but will become the company's chairman. Ford, who will join the company's board, is president of Central Valley Community Bank.

The company also said that Daniel Cunningham, who has been its chairman since 1998, will become lead independent director.

Central Valley disclosed earlier this month that it would report a fourth-quarter loss because of a hefty chargeoff of commercial loans.
