Citizens Building and Loan in S.C. Selects Next Chief

Citizens Building and Loan in Greer, S.C., will have a new president and chief executive next year.

The $125 million-asset company said in a press release that Jennifer Jones, its executive vice president, will succeed J. Thomas Johnson when he retires on Dec. 31.

Jones has served in various posts since joining the company in 2000. In her current role, she supervises the bank's team of loan officers and administrative professionals, researches and implements new products, procedures and regulations and assists with daily banking operations.

Johnson, who became CEO in 2009, will remain with the company as a consultant to its officers, employees and directors.
