Citizens Security Bank in Bixby, Okla., is planning to rebrand and adopt the name of its owners.
The $719 million-asset bank will change its name in March to Mabrey Bank, taking on the last name of the family that owns and manages the bank,
The rebranding will help Citizens Security distinguish itself from local competitors, Carlisle Mabrey, the bank's president, said in a written statement provided to the publication.
"We had discussed the possibility of someday changing our name to eliminate this confusion and differentiate us in our current markets and future possible markets," Mabrey said. "After much discussion with our board and marketing consultant, we felt now was a good time to move forward with a new name." '
Citizens Security has 12 branches in Oklahoma.
