Autoscribe Ranked on Inc. Magazine List

Inc. magazine has ranked Autoscribe Corp., based in Gaithersburg, Md., on its 33rd annual Inc. 500|5000 list, a ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. Autoscribe is an affiliate member of ACA International, the largest association representing collection agencies and creditors.

Autoscribe is ranked No. 3,262 on the list.

"We are thrilled to be recognized in this year’s Inc. 5000 list as one of the nation’s fastest growing companies," said Robert E. Pollin, founder and CEO of Autoscribe. "Our performance is driven by a passionate team focused on the delivery of innovative payment solutions to enterprise clients, backed by our unparalleled obsession for customer service, and the Inc. 5000 list serves to confirm our commitment to excellence as well as the bright future for Autoscribe."

The average company on the list achieved a three-year growth of 516%. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue is $211 billion, generating 505,000 jobs in the past three years. The complete list, including company profiles and an interactive database to sort by industry, region and other criteria, can be found through the magazine’s website.

"What surprises me, even though I know it’s coming, is the sheer variety of the paths our entrepreneurs take to success, thematically reflecting how our economy has evolved,” said Inc. President and Editor-in-Chief Eric Schurenberg. “This year there are far more social media and far fewer computer hardware businesses than there were, say, six years ago. But what doesn’t change is the fearsome creativity unleashed by American entrepreneurship.”

Fairport, N.Y.-based collection agency ConServe ranked No. 2,128 on the list. Founded in 1985 as Continental Service Group Inc., ConServe has provided accounts receivable management services in the higher education, government and commercial markets.

The agency was ranked as the #1 performing collection agency on the U.S. Department of Education’s student loan collection contract from 2004-2010. In 2009, ConServe again was awarded a long-term contract by the Department of Education and is currently among the top performers in that category.

The list offers a look at a key segment of the economy - America’s independent entrepreneurs. Companies such as Yelp, Pandora, Timberland, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, LinkedIn, Zillow gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 500|5000.
