ConServe Named Education Department's Top Collection Agency

The U.S. Department of Education named ConServe, formally known as Continental Service Group Inc., as the top performing private collection agency on the department's contract for the first quarter ending March 31.

The honor comes in the same quarter that the Education Department documented that the combined private collection agencies under contract achieved record-breaking recoveries.

ConServe, based in Fairport, N.Y., was ranked as the #1 performing small business collection agency on the Education Department's student loan collection contract from 2004-2010. ConServe in 2009 was again awarded a long-term contract.

"Our performance is a direct result of the combined efforts of our employees who work on our [contract]," said Brandon Booker, ConServe's director and interim vice president of Operations. "It is also reflective of the effectiveness of the initiatives deployed enterprisewide that permeate our culture and are the reason so many of our clients proudly claim ConServe as their top collection agency.”

Last August, ConServe was named to Inc. magazine 5000 list, a ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The company placed No. 2,971 on the list. Fuhu topped a list that included well-known firms such as LivingSocial, Edible Arrangements, CDW and Lifelock.

ConServe has provided accounts receivable management services in the higher education, government and commercial markets since 1985. It has achieved ACA International Professional Practices Management System certification, a quality management standard.
