Bank of the West Adds Three SBA Loan Officers in California

Bank of the West in San Francisco has hired three development officers for Small Business Administration loans.

Eric Li, Ron Short and Jeremy Wilson will join the retail banking group of the $73 billion-asset unit of France's BNP Paribas.

Bank of the West ranked as the No. 18 institution for SBA 7(a) loans, with $143 million in total lending, at the end of the agency's fiscal third quarter.

Li will focus on loans for small and midsize business clients in the bank's Pac Rim Market in Los Angeles. He previously held similar positions at East West Bancorp and Wells Fargo, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Short will serve clients in the San Francisco Bay area, based in San Jose. Short most recently was senior vice president for SBA business lending in the Cupertino office of Zions Bancorp.'s California Bank & Trust.

Wilson will make loans in the San Diego area, and be based in San Jose. He previously worked as a senior relationship manager at JPMorgan Chase, and has also worked for Wells Fargo, CIT Group, Alliance Bank and La Jolla Bank, according to his LinkedIn profile.
