Ohio bank starts search process for new CEO

Farmers & Merchants Bancorp in Archbold, Ohio, is looking for a new leader.

The $1.1 billion-asset company disclosed in a regulatory filing Wednesday that it has formed a search committee and hired Kaplan Partners, a recruiting firm, to find a successor for Paul Siebenmorgan.

Siebenmorgan, 68, has been the company’s president and CEO for nearly 15 years.

Farmers & Merchants said it will consider internal and external candidates.

Kevin Sauder, chairman of the company’s compensation committee, will chair the search committee. Jack Johnson, Farmers & Merchants’ chairman, and directors Marcia Latta and Anthony Rupp round out the special committee.

The company said it has no timetable for selecting Siebenmorgan’s successor.
