JPM Promotes Executive to Succeed Incoming CFO Lake

When Marianne Lake becomes JPMorgan Chase's (JPM) new chief financial officer next year, David Owen will fill her current role as CFO of its consumer and community bank.

Owen is the consumer bank's CFO. In his new role, he will report to Lake and to Gordon Smith, co-chief executive of consumer and community banking, JPMorgan Chase said on Friday.

Last month, JPMorgan Chase elevated Lake to replace Doug Braunstein, who will become a vice chairman. Chief Executive Jamie Dimon has been reorganizing the company's operations and reshuffling his staff since the summer, after it reported losing some $6 billion in its London trading office.

Owen joined JPMorgan Chase in late 2011 from Bank of America (BAC), where he spent eight years and ran ecommerce, mobile and fraud businesses, among others. He previously worked for consulting group Booz Allen Hamilton, and is a veteran of the U.S. Army.
