RBC Capital Markets Appoints Lisa Pollina Vice Chairman

RBC Capital Markets has named a former Bank of America (BAC) executive as a vice chairman.

Lisa Pollina will be responsible for senior relationship client coverage at RBC Capital Markets for large and nonbank financial institutions in the U.S., RBC Capital Markets said Thursday. RBC Capital Markets is the corporate and investment banking arm of Royal Bank of Canada (RBC).

Pollina will be tasked with developing links between these large institutions and businesses within RBC Capital Markets and Global Financial Institutions, part of RBC's newly formed investor and Treasury services segment.

Pollina more than 20 years of experience and has worked with RBC as a senior advisor since November 2010. She was previously with Bank of America where she was the global financial institutions executive responsible for the global corporate banking division team. Before that, she was a founding partner at Bordeaux Capital, a strategic and financial advisory firm focused on financial institutions, technology and healthcare clients.

Pollina will be based in Chicago and New York. She will report to Harry Samuel, head of RBC Investor & Treasury Services and chief executive of Europe for RBC Capital Markets, and to Mark Standish, president and co-CEO of RBC Capital Markets and group co-head of RBC Investor & Treasury Services.
