Wilshire in Los Angeles Appoints Two Directors

Wilshire Bancorp (WIBC) in Los Angeles announced several changes to its board Tuesday.

Longtime directors Kyu-Hyun Kim and Young Hi Pak have retired after two decades of service, the company said in a Tuesday press release. Steven Didion and Daisy Ha replaced Kim and Pak on Jan. 1.

Didion is general partner and portfolio manager at investment fund JCSD Partners, which specializes in bank investments. He previously served as chief executive of bank-focused investment firm Hoefer & Arnett. Didion is also a director at Rock Bancshares in Little Rock, Ark.

Ha is an lawyer "with extensive experience within the Korean-American community," the release said. She has worked within the U.S. District Court and the California Courts of Appeal. She specializes in employment law, criminal law and general civil law.

Wilshire has $2.8 billion of assets, 29 branches in California and four branches in New York, according to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
