Understanding the Hidden Costs of Branch Capture and How to Eliminate Them

Available on Demand
Duration: 1 hour

Check Capture at the back counter or in the branch achieves significant cost savings when fully implemented, but oftentimes all that is accomplished is the elimination of check related couriers. In other words, check images are transmitted electronically but there is no real process change to drive additional savings.

Teller Capture has sped up the delivery of checks, but the rest of the system hasn't evolved to keep up. Errors are still entering the system the same way they did as paper and a significant amount of work is still falling on the back office. In many instances, data entry of the MICR line or the check amount takes the place of proof and out of balance research and deposit corrections are still performed by the back office. Financial institutions have been forced to accept an inefficient process because there weren't any options.

This webinar focuses on how to identify, and eliminate the hidden costs associated with Branch Capture from the teller window to the back counter. Errors are costly; learn how to prevent them.

Dan Fisher, CEO of The Copper River Group and Rob Klein, Director of Enterprise Solution Design and Integration at Cummins-Allison, offer an analysis of the market and insight into how today's technology solutions enable the type of process improvement that results in greater savings than most Teller Capture-enabled institutions see today.
