Alan Gellman is Senior Vice President, Head of Digital Marketing, for Wells Fargos Digital Channels Group. The Digital Marketing team is responsible for third-party advertising, including display, search engine marketing, search engine optimization, mobile and social. Previously, Alan led strategy, research and analytics for Wells Fargos Consumer Credit Group, where he helped design Wells Fargos Smarter Credit offering and established a customer engagement strategy with a new measurement capability. He also was responsible for leading a team across seven lines of business in developing a debt management strategy and program. In addition, he led a cross-enterprise team in evolving a share of credit strategy that identified billions of dollars of opportunity across lines of business.During his eight-year career at Wells Fargo, Alan has established a strong record of cross-functional leadership delivering consistent success in key business metrics.Before joining Wells Fargo Alan built and led the E-Business division at Blue Shield of California, launching portals for consumers, providers, employers and brokers, and winning both customers and awards in the process.He began his career in consumer packaged goods for such companies as Kraft, General Foods and ConAgra, where he drove volume and profit growth in businesses like Hunts Snack Pack and Breyers Ice Cream.He has a B.A. in International Relations from University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Rochesters Simon School. He lives in Oakland, California with his wife and two children and loves cycling in the Bay Area hills.
