Ellen Seidman is senior fellow at the Urban Institute, focusing on housing finance and community development. From 1997 through 2001, she was director of the Office of Thrift Supervision and concurrently served on the board of directors of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and as chair of the board for the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corp.Seidman was a visiting scholar in the Community Development Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco in 2012 and 2013 and has been a research fellow of the Filene Research Institute since 2011. She is also a member of the Consumer Advisory Board of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.Wei Li is senior research associate at the Urban Institute's Housing Finance Policy Center. Previously, he was a principal researcher at the Center for Responsible Lending, where he authored numerous publications on the housing finance market.
