Gail Gottehrer is a litigation partner in at the law firm of Axinn, Veltrop & Harkrider LLP in New York and Connecticut.� Her practice focuses on class action defense, management-side labor and employment litigation and other complex commercial matters, including privacy and technology related litigation and workplace-related class actions.� She is one of the few defense lawyers to have been involved in the trial of a class action to verdict before a jury.Gail is a frequent speaker on topics relating to the implications of technology on the law, on business operations and on the digital workplace, including litigation cost management, electronic evidence, information governance, telematics, usage based insurance, autonomous vehicles, drones, robots, data ownership and privacy, biometrics, wearable technology and the Internet of Things.�Gail teaches a course in Law for Knowledge Innovation and Practices at a Columbia University Masters Degree program and is a Fellow at the Center for Legal Innovation at Vermont Law School.� She is as a member of the Law 360 Employment Law Editorial Board and a member of the Law Technology News Editorial Board. �She is the co-chair of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance’s eDiscovery and ESI Publications Committee and a member of its Cyber Liability Committee. �Gail is also a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals and the Executive Women's Forum.�Gail was recently selected as one of the New York Business Journal’s 2016 Women of Influence.� She is the Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Greater Hartford Legal Aid Foundation, a member of the Board of Directors of The Connecticut Appleseed Center for Law and Justice and a Fellow at the American Bar Foundation.Gail is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a former Law Clerk to the Honorable Murray C. Goldman, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, Philadelphia County. She is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
