With a career spanning thirty years in the banking industry, Greg Shewmaker has focused his career as a growth-oriented private banker.� He began at Bank of Lexington, which was acquired by Liberty National Bank & Trust Company of Louisville.� His responsibilities covered branch management, consumer lending, commercial lending and private banking. ��He moved to Vine Street Trust Company as senior vice president - private banking manager.� When Vine Street was acquired by BB&T, he moved to take over the Private Banking Group at Central Bank, Kentucky�s second largest community bank.�Greg has drawn upon his banking experience to play an integral role in the development of Private Banking at Central Bank in Lexington, Kentucky over the last ten years.� A graduate of the Kentucky School of Banking, the Graduate School of Banking, The Cannon Trust School and the College of Financial Planning, Greg has specialized in private equity management.�Under his guidance Private Banking has reached $190 million in deposits and $175 million in loans, and now features an active Financial Planning Service to supplement the traditional banking relationships he manages. His group consistently leads the bank in sales and referrals to Wealth Management, Investments and Insurance and sets the standard for effective sales management.
