Bill manages a portfolio of market infrastructure investments for the Markets and Securities Services division, (Rates, Credit, FX & Local Markets, Equities, Commodities and Securities Services). He has over 30 years of experience spanning trading, sales, e-commerce and strategic investing, including 25 years with Citi. The team’s investment focus is on data and analytics, execution venues, trade processing, clearing, settlement, connectivity, communication and high performance computing. A key component of their due diligence is that one or more of the Markets or Securities Services businesses will use or plan to use the products or services of the target company. They believe that beyond capital they bring two additional benefits to their portfolio companies: intellectual property to help them refine their business offering and a paying client. He currently sits on the boards of Symphony, Tradeweb, Open Exchange, Behavox, Aquilon Energy Services, and OTC DerivNet. A few current focus areas for the team are Machine Learning/ AI, distributed ledger technology and high performance computing.
