Mike Baxter
Mike Baxter is Head of Bain & Company’s Financial Services practice in the Americas, based in New York. He has 25 years of experience in consulting to leaders of financial services institutions in North America and Europe.

Mike has worked with a broad range of companies on topics of strategy, customer experience, innovation, product and pricing, organization design, operational change, restructuring, and risk and capital management. He has supported a number of shareholder value transformations. In addition to retail banking, he has extensive experience in payments and consumer finance, corporate banking, wealth management and life insurance.

Mike is also the co-lead of Bain’s Retail Bank of the Future effort, working with 80 institutions globally on the agenda and path of digitalization. He is a member of the World Economic Forum Future of Banking Council. He is also a frequent author and speaker on the topic of digitalization and innovation in banking.

Mike joined Bain & Company in London in 2008, and prior to this was Regional Managing Partner for Marakon Associates in Continental Europe, based in Zurich.

Mike holds an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Modern History from the University of Oxford.

Mike lives in New York with his wife and four children.
